We have four separate bedrooms each named after one of the four ancient gateways to the town.
Scots Gate Room
Named after the northern gateway in the direction of Scotland and the Scots).
The largest of the gateways through which the main A1 trunk road from London to Edinburgh ran until 1981 when the by pass was opened.
This double room of 25 square metres, features a four poster bed and large en-suite bathroom is located to the front of house on the first floor.
It has a digital flat screen television with satellite programs, refrigerator and hot drink making facilities.
Cow Port Room
Named after the Eastern gateway which led to farm grazing land to the North East of the Town and is the narrowest of the four gateways. It now leads to Magdaleane fields golf club and Berwick Bowling Club.
This double (25 square metre) room has a large en-suite bathroom and features a king sized bed, with digital satellite television and hot drink making facilities, and is located on the first floor to the rear of the house.

Ness Gate Room
Named after South Eastern gateway which leads to Berwick Pier about 100 metres from the house.
This is a twin bedded room located on the first floor and connected to Sand Gate Room by a internal door.
Sand Gate Room
Name after the Southern gateway which leads to Berwick Quayside.
This Double room (25 Sq Metres) shares a private bathroom with Ness Gate Room, because of which we only let these rooms either as;
a) A twin room with private facilities using Ness Gate Room.
b) A double room with private facilities using Sand Gate Room.
c) A family room with private facilities using both Ness Gate and Sand Gate Rooms.
Both rooms enjoy digital satellite televisions and hot drink making facilities, whilst the bath room has a deep claw foot roll top bath and separate large shower.
All rooms are provided with Bath Robes, large Bath sheets and complimentary toiletries. |
